This 12-contact hour class is designed to help you understand your anger and learn how to deal with it in a positive way. We'll talk about why we get angry, how we can manage our anger, and how we can control our anger so that it doesn’t control us.
Group classes meet twice weekly for a total of 4 weeks - Curriculum is evidenced-based - Facilitator is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. The total cost of the program must be paid upfront at enrollment - and can be paid via PayPal on the 'COURSE REGISTRATION' link or can be paid (cash or money order only) at the Junctions Office.

Conflict Resolutions for Teens
NOT ALL ADOLESCENT ARE ANGRY YOUNG ADULTS!
However, all adolescent can benefit from learning healthy conflict resolution and anger management skills. Through this course, teens will learn:
1. Increased self-awareness
2. Frustration tolerance
3. Self Control
4. Competence and empathy for themselves and others
Teenagers are highly likely to face pressures from peer groups, parents and teachers, and are hence bound to feel frustrated at one time or the other. Conflict Resolution for Teens can prepare them so that they can deal with the challenges of conflict and emotion of anger in a positive and constructive way.
The teenage years are a very critical phase in every individual’s life, often being a period dominated by turbulent emotions.
Some teenagers manage to scrape through without any problems and sail smoothly into the next stage of their lives, there are some who need to manage and control their anger and emotions.
Unfortunately, many teens believe that when a conflict or disagreement arises, they have no choice but to fight.
Some see fighting as the only acceptable way to resolve disagreements. They do not know of any way to avoid a fight without losing face. Others do not know how to control themselves in the face of a perceived insult. In one survey of junior and senior high school students:
¨ 33 percent said that when they were really angry there was no way they could control themselves.
¨ 41 percent said that if they were challenged, they would fight.
¨ 21 percent said that avoiding fights was a sign of weakness
